Regardless of the day, there is something simple we can do to ward off heart disease: sleep.
Granted, getting solid Z’s isn’t easy at all for many of us. But a study in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology suggests we’d better try. Nearly 4,000 participants were tracked and those who slept less than 6 hours a night, and/or whose sleep was fragmented, had more plaque in their arteries than those who slept 7 or 8 solid hours.
