WARDING OFF DEMENTIA

You know all those supplements being hawked against dementia? The FDA says they don’t work and they’re cracking down on the unproven claims, The New York Times reports.

Does anything work? Yes: Physical activity, blood pressure management, and mental stimulation. Doctors told the paper they’re excited that even though there isn’t a magic pill, there are steps people can take that actually are protective against the worst effects of aging.
