A study of tens of thousands of Japanese adults found that the more plant protein they got, rather than red or processed meat, the less likely they were to die from cardiovascular issues, heart disease, or stroke. Protein-rich veggies that the study identified included spinach, broccoli, lentils, soy beans, and chickpeas, The New York Times reported.
